• C.A.R.E.S funds available to assist DeKalb citizens enrolled in high-demand occupations and were separated from employment due to the pandemic.

  • The DeKalb resident must be in an in-demand occupation training such as Information Technology, Healthcare, Advanced Manufacturing or Business Technology and attending an institution on the State’s Eligible Training Provider List.

  • $1500 available to offset cost of basic needs while they are in training. Basic needs are considered as mortgage assistance, food, utilities and transportation. Funds will be disbursed on a first come First basis once deemed eligible and funding is limited.

  • Must be DeKalb County Residents, 18 years and older who have lost their job due to the pandemic.

  • The DeKalb resident may or may not be receiving unemployment benefits currently. Proof of Separation due to the pandemic is required.
